CALL for PAPERS and ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

We cordially invite you to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations in ISC-QSD 2014. Some of contributions may be selected as invited talks. Abstract must be sufficiently informative to allow fair evaluation of the intended presentation and comply with normal publication standard. The text should be written in clear and concise English. The entire abstract (including title, authors, affiliation, figures and references) is restricted to one page within the dimension 5.8 inch (14.7 cm) in width and 8.8 inch (22.3 cm) in height for each page. Only a PDF file less than 1MB is acceptable for submission. Template will be available here. → Download

ISC-QSD Symposium participants are requested to be at the Registration Desk as soon as possible after their arrival. Symposium badges must be worn at all the time. The registration desk will be open,

Oral presentations

  • Locations,
    Oral presentations of the ISC-QSD symposium will be given in the main auditorium of Koshiba Hall, The University of Tokyo.
  • Duration of talks,
    Invited talks: 35 minutes including discussion
    Contributed talks: 20 minutes including discussion
  • Audio visual facilities
    LCD projectors will be available in the auditorium. If you wish to give your presentation from your laptop, you are requested to be present before the start of the session to connect your laptop. The symposium organizers are not responsible for the security of any personal equipment. You can also bring your presentation (in PowerPoint or PDF) on a memory stick and load it onto a PC in the symposium room. In this case also, you should be present before the start of the session and contact a stage operator to set up your presentation. We would like speakers to remind that it is always prudent to bring a backup of your talk. We recommend thorough testing in advance.

Poster sessions

Poster sessions will be held in the Foyer of the Koshiba Hall. A poster board will be available for each poster. Materials to fix the poster to the board will be provided at the poster presentation hall. The poster session will be held on Tuesday afternoon (13:30~17:00). The posters can be put up during the lunch break on the same day. Authors will stand by their posters during the session. The posters should be removed after the session. The authors are responsible to put up and remove their posters at the times corresponding to their sessions. Posters not removed by the indicated time will be discarded.

Refreshments

Coffee, tea and water will be served during coffee breaks in the Foyer.

About 5,000 yen/person will be charged. Please pay by cash upon your registration.
